Farm-to-Table Philosophy: Higgins is celebrated for its unwavering commitment to using local, seasonal, organic, and sustainable ingredients. Chef and co-owner Greg Higgins has built strong, long-standing relationships with Pacific Northwest farmers, ensuring the freshest produce, meats, and seafood make it onto the menu. This dedication has been a cornerstone since its opening in 1994, making it one of Portland’s original farm-to-table restaurants.

Cuisine: The cuisine at Higgins is often described as Contemporary French/American with significant Pacific Northwest and European influences. You’ll find a blend of classic dishes with imaginative twists, showcasing the region’s bounty. The menu changes seasonally to reflect available ingredients, but you can expect offerings like house-cured charcuterie, seasonal risottos, fresh seafood, and well-prepared meats. They also offer a good range of vegetarian and even vegan options.

Higgins also has a bar next to the main restaurant. Great place to get drinks and you can still order food from the main restaurant.
