Bag Policy:
Backpacks and other large bags are not allowed. Purses and bags may be searched prior to entry.
Water Policy:
Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
Parking:
No on site parking, it is recommended that patrons park in the Water Street Parking Garage (100 and 200 blocks of East Water Street) which is a very short walk to the theater. Please note that the garages close at certain times, therefore plan accordingly to avoid your vehicle being locked inside until the garage reopens the following day.
Public Transit:
Get to Downtown Charlottesville from the University of Virginia Corner and UVA Grounds with the FREE trolley.
The FREE trolley services CAT and University Transit Service stops along its route every 15 minutes on Monday through Saturday.

ADA Accessibility:
The Jefferson Theater offers accessible accommodations for patrons with ADA requirements. The main auditorium and bathrooms are fully accessible. Most events are general admission, so there are no specific ADA ticketing options. The theater is located on the pedestrian Downtown Mall. For the most convenient access, patrons should be dropped off at the corner of First Street and Water Street.

Other Venue Info:
In most cases, the Jefferson does allow re-entry. Either your wristband, ticket stub, or hand stamp will be required for re-entry. The Jefferson does not allow any smoking at all in our historic building. However with re-entry you can smoke outside. Coat check available during colder season.
